This course is intended for experienced Silverlight/WPF programmers, Silverlight/WPF Project Managers and UI/UX designers who have a minimum of six months experience of working knowledge with Silverlight/WPF and some experience with Blend. The participants expected to have Silverlight/WPF experience in developing rich UI applications and designing UX for such applications.

Silverlight and WPF are technologies for creating Visually Rich Applications. Both allow creating visually stunning user interface (UI) and providing the end user with outstanding user experience (UX) while using the application. Expression Blend 3 a part of Microsoft Expression Studio, which helps to Silverlight and WPF developers to create rich UI and design outstanding UX. As a part of a design process, developers and designers need to create prototypes of future application. Sketch Flow feature in Blend 3 helps to create such prototypes.
This one day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to prototype UI/UX for applications using Microsoft Silverlight 3/WPF and Microsoft Expression Blend 3 through a variety of available techniques. The course focuses on user interfaces, user experience prototyping and pilot applications implementation. The course based on student previous knowledge of Silverlight 3/WPF technology capabilities. Blend knowledge is recommended.
Before attending this course, students must have:
•Knowledge of Silverlight or WPF technology (not developing, but the technology capabilities) •Highly recommended: some Blend experience
After completing this course, students will be able to:
•Understand the design process along with UI/UX design stages.
•Create Silverlight 3/WPF prototype application based on the Blend 3 prototype application template(s).
•Use Sketch Flow.
•Use additional Blend 3 features like:
◦Visual Data Binding
◦Behavior
◦Sample Data Generation
◦Design Document Generation
